Badges United for Kids

POLICE and FIRE BADGES JPG1 - 5 p.m. at the city park. Presented by the Rainsville Police Department, Rainsville Fire Department and City of Rainsville. Free admission. Enjoy free pizza and drinks and t-shirts while they last, plus inflatables, face painting, kid ID, prize giveaways, games, water balloon battle and dunking booth. Displays to include the fire education smoke trailer, helicopters and a forestry bull dozer.

This 4-hour workshop is designed to introduce aspiring, new, and current business owners to the core elements of business management and planning needed to grow their business and accelerate their success. The Rainsville Chamber is hosting the event in cooperation with The Catalyst Center for Business & Entrepreneurship of Huntsville (catalystcenter.org).

Paint the City Pink for Hope

Farmers Market JPGThe Rainsville Civitan Club's Paint the City Pink for Hope will span the month of October in correlation with National Breast Cancer Awareness Month.

Leading up to October, the club is selling big pink bows ($10 each) that will be displayed on the outside of businesses across the city during the entire month.

Proceeds will go to The Hope Chapter, a local charity that provides financial support for cancer survivors.
